Visual art | Installation >>>Iran | Lives and works in Teheran
overview
preview
I was born in 1984 amid the Iran-Iraq war in Tehran. When only six years passed from the victory of "1979's popular revolution", a revolution that was achieved by my parents and parents of my generation, but its results were miles away from their demands.
At the moment, after passing three decades of Iran's Islamic Revolution because of difficult social, political and economic condition, political concerns has been an integral part of people's life. This concern has been more highlighted for me because of my father's political background and his experience in jail for his political beliefs.
But the situation after the presidential election of 12 June, 2009 and the popular peaceful protests and widespread repression and killings of protesters by government forces, these concerns were entered a new path. These events not only my art but also affected my personal life and inevitably I experienced the same as my father experiences. Artists reflect all the social events of their time, as a result, my recent works somehow show and draw these events.
