overview
preview
With their on-going interdisciplinary project, Noises of Utopia, the young Polish artist Mikolaj Polinski the Japanese pianist Misa Shimomura explore the utopian aspects of the aesthetic. Together they create a labyrinthine art construction of wood and metal adapted to the particular space available that also serves as a gargantuan, phantasmagorical musical instrument. The result conflates the domains of music, space and the visual arts where noise turns to a sense of harmony between the visual and the audio.
